How to Join
There are two steps to joining the Central Florida Chapter of the 1st Marine Division Association. First, you must be a member of the National 1st Marine Division Association, and then you are eligible to join the Central Florida Chapter. Please see the information provided below.
STEP ONE
Join the National 1st Marine Division Association.
Who is eligible?
Honorably discharged veterans and those persons still on active duty who, at any time after the original formation of the 1st Marine Division, as carried on the records at Headquarters Marine Corps, were or are members of, assigned, attached to or in support of and performed duty with the 1st Marine Division or any unit attached to, in support of or serving with the 1st Marine Division. Associate membership may be granted to spouses, children, parents or guardians of those persons living or deceased who are or were members or eligible for membership.
Gold Star membership is granted to the parents of those servicemen or women who died in the service of their country who, if alive, would have been eligible for membership.
Dues
An annual membership, which runs from January to January (beginning in the year, not necessarily the month, in which you sign up), entitles you to receive the Association's official bi-monthly magazine, The Old Breed News, and to participate in the Annual Reunion and other events.
Membership for those joining during or after the annual reunion includes the rest of that year and the year following. It costs $35.00 per year.
A life membership includes the subscription to The Old Breed News and to participate in the Annual Reunion and other event runs for your lifetime. It costs $1,000.00.
